Outreach Coordinator, Connecting Lives

Hours: 25 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term for 6 months

 

Connecting Lives provides Carers, Support Workers and Mentors to help adults with a wide range of care and support needs.

 

Some of the support is provided in the community or in the service user’s home. This work is called Outreach.

 

We require a person to help coordinate the Outreach service. The work involves:

  • Arranging meetings between Carers, Support Workers and Mentors and the service users
  • Helping recruit new Connecting Lives workers
  • Helping with social community events for the service users and Connecting Lives workers
  • Keeping accurate records and doing administrative tasks
  • Helping the development of using social media to promote the service

 

Previous experience is not necessary. Connecting Lives requires applicants to have a desire to help people and a willingness to learn.   Training is provided.

 

This post is for a person who is aged between 18-24yr who is on Universal Credit.  The minimum qualifications required are: 5 GCSEs including English, Maths.

 

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
