About the role
Community Safety Administrator/Safeguarding Co-ordinator
Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) - up to 12 months
26.5 hours per week - worked over 5 days per week
Location: Eastbourne fire station
An opportunity has arisen for a confident individual to provide high level administrative/coordinator support to enable the Community Safety Department to deliver its Thematic Plans /Annual Assessment of Risk.
You will be required to supervise specified administration staff work activities, undertake a variety of administrative duties, maintain electronic systems/diaries and work to tight deadlines. You will also liaise with Station Personnel/other Departments on a regular basis.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating safeguarding referrals (child safety and adult), co-ordinate responses from multi agency conferences and attend meetings on behalf of ESFRS with other agencies/service providers.
You will possess excellent attention to detail and communication skills with the ability to engage with members of staff and the public. Previous experience of child safety/adult safeguarding protocols would be advantageous.
Full training in all aspects of the role will be provided.
