Hours: 37 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for a Parks and Open Spaces Officer to join our Parks and Sea Fronts team. We are busy team responsible for the management of 2,500,000 m2 of park, open space and nature reserve across the district which includes 1100 designated parks.
The team is responsible for providing high quality recreational and biodiverse public space for residents and visitors to enjoy and use. This involves dealing with a wide array of land management activities that include grounds maintenance, infrastructure repair and maintenance and volunteer involvement.
This is an interesting and varied role with a scope to take on a variety of different tasks. The successful candidate should have an interest in Parks, Open Spaces and Natural Environment matters, have some practical experience in dealing with vegetation management/infrastructure repairs and dealing with the public and volunteers. Ideally the candidate would have a conservation management related qualification or experience in this field.
