We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic self-starter to work within the Council’s communications team. You must have a passion for communications to help us engage effectively with our residents, businesses, staff and other stakeholders.
You will be responsible for leading on communications projects as well as creating and implementing targeted communications campaigns. You will write articles and produce content for the media, social media, website and other communications channels, ensuring that it is factual, topical and concise.
You will also be on hand for any ad-hoc duties that may arise, supporting the Strategic Communications Manager. The role also includes occasional out-of-hours work; taking photos and representing the Council at various events.
You must have experience within a communications/public relations environment and be able to manage multi tasks simultaneously.

We are currently working full remotely for the foreseeable future when we anticipate returning to the office on a flexible basis which will still include work from home and flexi time opportunities but candidates should be within commutable distance of our offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire or able to attend meetings as required if further afield.
