The Public Protection Partnership is a three authority shared service covering Bracknell Forest, Wokingham and West Berkshire which will become a two authority shared service by the 1st April 2022 when Wokingham leaves. The service covers Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Licensing and currently serves some 450K residents.
We are looking for two experienced Enforcement Officers to work within our Trading Standards and Investigation teams. These fixed term posts (time limited project) are initially until 31/03/2022 and will have specific emphasis on intelligence led priority areas including enviro-crime, unfair trading and fraud. The successful candidate will display the appropriate levels of competence and knowledge in evidence gathering, interviewing supsects and preparation of case files.
In order to fulfill the role you will need a good understanding of PACE, CPIA and RIPA. You must also be able to present yourself in court both in terms of procedural applications and giving evidence. You must be a strong communicator, good team player and an advocate for the service.
The post offers access to pool vehicles and a free working environment across the PPP area and will be based at Theale.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
