About the role
We are looking for an exceptional individual to join the Enterprise Applications Support Team, to work as a permanent specialist as an Enterprise Applications Consultant on the Cherwell Service Management system (recently acquired by Ivanti).
You will be working in a very busy and productive team, where your focused expertise will be on the Cherwell Service Management system (CSM) across the Orbis Partnership.
The Orbis partnership comprises of Surrey County Council, East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council working in partnership with an expectation that the core functions of IT & Digital will be fully integrated going forward.
You will need to be able to develop, manage and co-ordinate the critical activities of Cherwell through application lifecycle management and service delivery, providing day to day support for Cherwell Service Management system (CSM) and related software, implementing and transitioning to new technical solutions, adopting best practice application operation and exploiting new technologies including 3rd Party Supplier Management.
You will be required to maintain a Centre of Excellence and Best Practice in Applications Service Delivery, by improving the technical performance of Cherwell and associated integrated technologies.
As part of the team you will be engaging with key stakeholders internally and with the external suppliers, 3rd Party support to develop the system, as well as providing advice and consultancy at a tactical level to services, management and staff.
As you will be ensuring the efficient and effective CSM administration of the Cherwell Service Management system, it is essential you have excellent technical knowledge of the Cherwell system. You will need to be open to immerse yourself in our CSM system and while some further training may be given, you will need to be willing to self-lead your learning and research to continue to be an expert in your field.
You will need extensive experience in an IT Service Management system with a large user base, that should include robust experience in developing, testing and supporting a test and live system. You will need to have a flexible approach to working, as some evening or weekend work will be required on occasions to implement blueprints and upgrades.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
