Harlow Council is looking to fill three new Apprentice roles to work within its busy Revenues and Benefits service, based at the Civic Centre.
There are lots of benefits to doing an apprenticeship. You can earn while you learn, and learn in a way that is best suited to you – through hands-on experience on the job. Key benefits of being an apprentice include:
- earning a salary
- getting paid holidays
- receiving training
- gaining an NVQ
- learning job-specific skills
Working in our busy Revenues and Benefits service, you will assist with a wide range of tasks to support the payment of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support and the collection of Council Tax and Business Rates.
Applicants must have a keen interest in working in an office environment and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent IT skills are essential, as well as a positive approach to effective communication.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a short competency test as part of the interview process.
The successful apprentice will undertake a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Revenues and Benefits with the IRRV. To qualify for NVQ funding applicants must not have previous experience in the same subject area.
