SEND FACILITY MANAGER
37 hours per week (8.00 am – 4.00 pm (3.30 pm Friday) daily), term-time only
Salary: Single Status Grade 9, Points 23 - 25 (£26,427 - £28,548) per annum, pro-rata
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational SEND Facility Manager to oversee the daily management and safeguarding aspects of our onsite SEND facility at the College.
Working as part of a wider SEND team, who are dedicated to ensuring the best possible outcomes for SEND students, your responsibilities will include:
- The safe and effective day to day running of the Facility.
- Line management of staff within the Facility.
- Being the daily point of call for all Facility students’ parents and external professionals.
- Responsibility for ensuring all staff are able to carry out their daily duties - teaching, interventions etc.
- Being able to manage challenging behaviours from vulnerable children and responding in a calm and firm manner.
- Being able to intervene to prevent potentially volatile situations between children.
- Delivering targeted interventions to children with EHCPs.
- Ensuring that relevant plans are in place in relation to the specific needs of each student within the Facility.
The Da Vinci Centre is a specialist educational facility based within the wider setting of Robertsbridge Community College. The centre offers a personalised pathway through learning for young people with special educational needs including Autism Spectrum Condition, anxiety and dyslexia. The centre offers places to a maximum of twelve young people with Education, Health and Care Plans ranging in age from 11 to 16.
A high standard of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills and strong safeguarding awareness are essential criteria for this post.
