Are you a committed health and well-being advocate? Do you have what it takes to champion and co-ordinate the council’s approach to employee well-being?
This new and exciting role is an important part of the council’s COVID recovery plans, with an emphasis on reviewing the effectiveness of our current approach and leading a programme of change to have a positive impact on our employee well-being.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has a robust understanding of health and well-being and the wide range of benefits that come from a healthy work place. As an experienced professional you will be able to have an immediate impact on the council’s approach to its Health and Well-being support for its employees, as well as develop approaches that will have a long-term impact beyond March 2022, which is when the funding for this post ceases.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their experience in:
- Completing a Health and Well-being audit in line with nationally recognised well-being standards.
- Designing and implementing a well-being policy and action plan.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders; including strategic leaders, managers and employees.
- Leading and influencing change programmes.
- Supporting individuals and teams where complex or persistent well-being challenges are presented.
- Analysing the benefits and results of well-being interventions.
In return, you’ll be part of a busy, professional and committed team based in Corporate Services in a role that works closely across all directorates of the council.
This role can be carried out flexibly between the office and home.
