SALARY GRADE NS5: £10.21 - £10.42 per hour (£19,698 - £20,092 per annum pro rata)

Do you have spare time in the week and are looking for flexible work?

Relief vacancies have arisen within our Refuse and Recycling Team for those wanting to work in their free time on a relief basis. This is to cover for busy periods, holidays and employee absence.

This role includes the loading of domestic refuse collection vehicles, litter picking, fly tip collection and litterbin emptying throughout the district. The position will entail working some unsociable hours in all weathers. You should be physically fit, with the ability to work alone and unsupervised. Full training, uniform and PPE will be provided.

The position requires a full driving licence and experience working in a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

The post is based out of the councils’ Brunel Drive Depot in Newark.

You will usually work from 6am – 2pm although working past the usual finish time is sometimes required where there is a need in order to provide a full service to residents.

Further details can be obtained from the Waste Management Depot, Brunel Drive, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 2EG, telephone (01636) 655398.

Previous applicants need not apply.

Veterans/family of forces/ex-forces, those in care/care leavers, and candidates who declare a disability (as defined under the Equality Act 2010) will be guaranteed an interview provided they have demonstrated that they meet the essential criteria of the post as detailed in the Person Specification on their application form.
