Grade: Soulbury Principal Educational Pay Scale B 6-12 (inclusive of 3 SPA points where eligible)

The role of Principal Educational Psychologist sits within Education Excellence reporting to the Head of Service. The successful applicant will join the senior management team of EE to lead and manage the delivery of Educational Psychology Services and the Early Years SEND Team including Portage across the Local Authority
The purpose of the role is to work in collaboration with the Head of Education Excellence within SENIS and across service areas to develop strategy and policy, to ensure that vulnerable pupils within Sefton make good progress and that there is focus on improving interventions and provision for children with additional and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to lead and manage a team of professionals in the delivery of high quality support services for pupils experiencing high level needs including both Educational Psychology and the Early Years Team
This is an excellent opportunity for professional development managing the statutory and traded aspects of the educational psychology service, using effective leadership and management skills in addition to facilitating a successful multi-agency working, integrated service delivery and the achievement of positive outcomes.
