The Isle of Wight council is looking to recruit casual Duty Harbour Masters to cover both Ryde and Newport Harbours.

The post holder will be responsible for the daily supervision of the Harbour, making sure all relevant operating procedures are carried out to a high standard of customer care and that effective Health and Safety procedures are implemented at all times. The role will also include the collection of berthing fees and dealing with enquiries from berth holders, visitors and the general public demonstrating a high standard of customer care

The successful applicant will need a VHF Radio Operators Licence and have had experience working in a marine environment.

The working hours are based around the tides across 7 days a week and will be allocated on a casual basis.
