Newsome Avenue provides residential overnight short breaks to children and young people who have learning disabilities, complex health needs, Autism, ADHD and associated behaviours.
The home works alongside other short break service providers and professional agencies to meet the assessed needs of the children and young people.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated person who is able to meet the physical and emotionally demanding role of a Residential Support Worker.
The successful applicant will be flexible in supporting the team in meeting the assessed needs of the children and young people.
The successful applicant will have experience of working in a residential environment and have experience of working with children/young people and/or adults with complex disabilities and complex needs.
The successful applicant will hold a relevant level 3 qualification or have the commitment to complete Diploma level 3 within 12 months of their appointment.
The successful applicant will work on a rota basis including weekends.
The successful applicant will work as part of a team and be committed to maintaining and developing a quality service. They will also contribute to protection and safeguarding of children and young people and promote their education, health and well being to effectively meet positive outcomes.
