Support Worker - LGBTQ
This is a permanent 18.5 position with the option of this being full time for 18months as a secondment/fixed term contract due to funding.
Salary: Band 6: £21,841 - £25,481 p.a. FT (£10,920 - £12,740 for 18.5 hours)
Hours per week: 18.5 or 37 hours (PT considered)

Your New Role
Are you a passionate about supporting young people and their families?
Within this role you will provide support to young adults who are exploring issues, or looking for support relating to their sexuality or gender identity. You will have experience of working with young people/adults and ideally their families and will be able to demonstrate the practical delivery of high quality support and advice.
You will support the young person and their family to assess need holistically and work with them to develop solutions that improve their experiences and lives. With support of the team, you will ensure that help is provided to families and young people in the most effective way to ensure that the improved outcomes are achieved for children and families
Occasional evening and out of hours working are requirements for this position.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a nationally recognised qualification such as NVQ level 4, or equivalent experience and have an update toe date working knowledge of safeguarding children and young adults, with a particular focus on the issues faced by LGBTQ young adults. You will be able to demonstrate to a high level the practical delivery of your specialist knowledge and experience.
