Introducing ourselves:

The Active Sports Team are responsible for delivering a portfolio of numerous Health, Sport and Physical activity programmes working with a wide range of partners and contributing to key council priorities including Health & Wellbeing, Most Vulnerable and Community Resilience.

Job requirements:

Active Sefton are looking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced Development Manager to oversee the portfolio of services available to children and young People (0-19 years). The Development Manager will be responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive programme of sport and physical activity programmes linked to the priorities of Sefton Council (through Active Sefton) and identified project partners. These will specifically include targeted health and wellbeing programmes such as the Active Schools Service, the MOVE IT Programme (a health and wellbeing service for overweight or obese children and their families) and the 121 referral programme (working to improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people) amongst other 0-19 provision.  As an integral part of the wider Living Well Sefton Service, the role will be expected to work in partnership with a range of other Council services or partner organisations that are delivering on the children and young people agenda.

Interview dates will be anticipated mid-end August.
