PARKING OFFICER (COTD063)
Salary £20,903 pa - £23,080 pa

We are looking for an organised and efficient person to join our team, working in a busy, friendly, and sometimes challenging environment.  You will need to provide excellent customer service within the Parking Services Division, carrying out office-based functions in connection with parking enforcement.

Your responsibilities will include the processing of penalty charge notices including appeals, payments and debt recovery of any outstanding charges.  In addition, you will assist in the management of permits for our residents parking scheme and season tickets for our car parks.  Experience of working in an office environment would be required.

You will need to be able to communicate tactfully and effectively with the public, including the ability to deal with emotive and challenging situations.  You should be capable of using your own initiative, including decision-making and problem solving, and be proficient at using the computer for general processing, together with producing spreadsheets and reports.  This will mean you will need to have a fine eye for detail.   It is essential that you are able to write clearly laid out letters which may address complex or sensitive circumstances.  Whilst a good knowledge of parking legislation is desirable, it is not essential as you will be given full training in your role.
