The Building Control service has undergone significant positive change in the last few years, including the establishment of an effective partnership between Knowsley and Halton Councils. As part of a vibrant team, you would contribute to the partnership's continued success at a time when the importance of an effective Local Authority Building Control Services is increasingly recognised, and both Councils are experiencing significant growth and development.
The role will involve the successful candidate undertaking a full range of building control duties including dangerous structures work and being on the Emergency Call out rota across both Halton and Knowsley.
Applicants will have a degree in Building Control or a relevant subject and will be working towards or have gained membership of a recognised professional body. Applicants will have experience of managing a caseload of Building Control applications including plan checking and site inspection.
