About the role
Health and Social Care Connect (HSCC) is recruiting experienced customer service staff who have worked in contact centre or administrative positions. The role involves handling a high volume of work processing referrals for health and social care professionals received by email and by phone whilst recording on a client database and other Microsoft office products. The role also involves call handling for the Emergency Duty Service.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment and need to be flexible in your approach to your work. You will need to be a good team player, dynamic, well organised, able to work well under pressure and punctual and reliable. You will have a confident telephone manner and excellent written communication and accuracy. You will be competent using Microsoft Word and Outlook and be confident navigating databases and systems and working to specific pathways, procedures and policies. Our ideal candidate will enjoy working on a range of tasks and meeting the challenge of tight deadlines.
HSCC provides a 24/7 service. This role requires shift working from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week including bank holidays. You will be required to work late shifts, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
