Committed to supporting young people with the most complex needs, the Harmful Sexual Behaviour Team work collaboratively to seek the best outcomes to the immediate challenges that they are facing through reducing harmful sexual behaviour and sexualised behaviour in the young people we work with.

By joining our team, you will be part of a vital service that delivers planned treatment inputs from the ARC framework alongside interventions for Harmful Sexual Behaviour.  You will be working with children in families, foster care and residential care.  You will be working predominately Monday-Friday however, there will also be times out of hours when support is needed for families and you will need to be flexible with this approach in what works best for the families and carers we are supporting. There will be 10% of weekend work (approx. 16 hours) which need to be undertaken each month.

As a specialism of ARC services, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary and trauma informed team, who will be trained to use the Attachment, Regulation and Competency model as a framework of reference to underpin interventions and support families to build resilience and self-reliance. There will also be training provided in Harmful Sexual Behaviour and related interventions to this including completing AIM3 assessments for some young people to assess risk. The role is diverse and includes direct work with a young person and their carer alongside representing the service in multi-agency meetings and completing all necessary paperwork. Experience in social care and of working with children, young people and families is essential.  A Full Driving Licence is needed due to the county wide nature of the role.

We will support you with a full induction and specialist training, providing you with the skills and backing you need to make a tangible difference to the lives of our community. We are looking for people who can bring plenty of empathy, sensitivity and resilience to the role, in turn, you will have the opportunity to help a wide array of children meet their full potential.
