Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
About the role
Caretaker - The Southfield Trust
The Southfield Trust is seeking to appoint a Caretaker from 13th September 2021 to join our committed Trust team (start date subject to completion of all pre-employment checks).
The hours of work are 37 per week. This may be in the form of a split shift that could be from 7am - 11.30am and 2pm - 5pm.
This is an opportunity for a practical and well-motivated individual to carry out a role which will include a wide range of responsibilities and duties connected with health and safety, grounds and facilities maintenance and security ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children, staff and visitors.
The Southfield Multi Academy Trust consists of three exceptional special schools – The South Downs School, The Lindfield School and Hazel Court School, which provide the best possible educational opportunities for all its learners and their families. Pupils may have speech and language needs, autism or learning difficulties. Some students also have associated emotional/ behavioural difficulties. The Trust is also currently in an exciting phase of development including the opening of a new Free School.
You will work alongside a friendly and supportive staff team who have a wealth of expertise and are committed to the continuing professional development of all staff – offering a strong programme of in school training.
