Are you looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service within and award-winning council in Barnsley that is about putting local people at the heart of everything, listening to and doing good for our communities?
We are looking for qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurses to work on a relief basis which in turn can offer flexible working opportunities to fit around your lifestyle.
Your role in our journey
You will be working as part of a skill mix team to support the delivery of the healthy child programme to improve health and wellbeing and safeguard children, young people and families within the Borough. You will need to be a highly motivated, innovative and adaptable practitioner who is committed to taking a child centred approach whilst undertaking clear and detailed assessments at both an individual and community level, including providing early interventions and support for children, young people and families and working in partnership with a range of services in Barnsley.
What you’ll need
To join us, you will need to be a registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN). We are looking for both School Nurses and Health Visitors on a relief basis with experience of integrated working and public health related work. Your knowledge and understanding of the Healthy Child Programme and children and young people’s needs will enable you to organise and deliver evidenced based care to support our service users within Barnsley. The ability to be flexible and support the needs of the service as and when required including the ability to travel to a range of venues and settings is essential.
A lot to look forward to
Here at Barnsley, we live and work by four important values: honesty, teamwork, excellent service, and taking pride in what we do. Our Public Health Nursing Service is at the forefront of providing care to our children, young people and families and therefore we are seeking individuals who are passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people, families and communities.
