An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Early Help 0-19 service in East Sussex for two highly motivated Early Communication Support Workers (ECSW).

East Sussex is now seeking talented individuals to join our existing team across the county for a fixed term, to extend our offer to families in response to Covid-19.

About the role

You will be supporting the development of young children's early speech, language and communication in line with the East Sussex early years speech, language and communication pathway. The ability to work flexibly and independently is key to this role. You will provide group sessions in Children's Centres across the east or west of the county, and where communication delay is identified you will offer early help to children's language development to decrease the need for referral to formal therapy services. You will also offer one to one support, in the home if appropriate, to families where children have identified speech, language and communication concerns.

This rewarding role would require successful candidates to have a good understanding of children's language development and experience of working with young children and their families. You must have a recognised level 3 qualification in Early Years Care and Education and knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

You will receive excellent on-going training opportunities, a thorough induction and supervision as part of our commitment to you.

So, if you are passionate about children’s learning, and are committed to helping children and their families, we want to hear from you.

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, we are ambitious on behalf of the children, young people and families we work with and believe every role we recruit is a part of this success.
