Wirral's Early Childhood Service is a forward-thinking team with an innovative approach that has received both national and local recognition.
Business Support officers provide effective administrative support for the service including the use of new technology and work collectively with colleagues across Children's Services to ensure we are making Wirral great for children, young people, and their families.
In the role, you will support parents and children to access the Children's Centre, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment. You will also provide a first point of contact for professionals accessing the centre and will coordinate services on site ensuring that the day to day running of the centre is smooth.
You will provide professional administrative support and maintain good relationships with teams across service areas, key stake holders and partners to ensure that information about the service offer is shared accurately and efficiently.
We are looking for someone who can go the extra mile for children and families.
You will need to be qualified in Literacy and Numeracy to GCSE or equivalent level and have experience of working in a children and family or community-based environment.
Your experience should include the use of Microsoft Packages, working with a range of databases and information systems alongside the ability to work independently whilst adhering to confidential information procedure and policy.
You will need a track record of working under pressure effectively to meet deadlines and have an ability to resolve issues proactively.
Above all you will be looking to improve the way we engage with our residents to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.

This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home. In future, the Council will be moving to a hybrid of working arrangements for many of our roles with a combination of homeworking, office and site working as required.
