The Highways and Traffic Management service are looking for a highly motivated Highways Infrastructure Manager to manage the operational delivery of a wide range of services. This includes planned, routine and emergency call out maintenance, highway safety inspections, maintenance of highway structures, highway lighting, winter maintenance, asset management services and the management of technical, financial and procurement procedures in accordance with Council procedures.
The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge and experience of current practices, materials, specification, legislation and codes of practice relating to highways maintenance and management including developing asset management strategies and future work programmes.
Also, you are expected to possess excellent communications and personnel management skills and have detailed knowledge and experience of civil engineering project management and contract administration.
The role will require developing a close working relationship with elected members, residents and businesses in managing the aspirations of local communities in relation to the highway network.
