About the role
Buzz Active is the highly successful and popular outdoor education, leisure and sports activity provider arm of East Sussex County Council. Operating over three sites in Eastbourne, Cuckmere Haven and Hailsham, Buzz Active offers a wide range of water and land based activities to all all age groups from the age of six.
Buzz Active is growing rapidly and needs help with formalising the marketing and delivery strategy to grow the business to reach both its full potential and increases options for the user community.
The education sector is a principal client and the Development Officer and Coach will be responsible for engaging across settings, phases and providers, marketing and upselling products and securing bookings by working with them in co-production to extract the maximum curriculum, personal and social development out of residential stay's, in particular, across the range of activities in the Buzz offer.
The Service Development Officer and Coach will act as the Site Lead at Bushy Wood Activity Centre and Scout Camp, ensuring the smooth running of activities, dealing with staff rotas in liaison with the Buzz Active Deputy Manager and maintaining excellent professional relationships with the Bushy Wood Centre Manager and staff.
The Service Development Officer and Coach will support the delivery of the activity programme by running sessions and staff training in their area of specialism. Ideally, they would be prepared to cross train in other disciplines to extend their range of operational effectiveness.
As a member of the Buzz Active Management Team, the Service Development Officer and Coach will contribute to the development and growth of Buzz Active through supporting the strategic aims of the business and being a creative and enthusiastic contributor to product design and marketplace innovation.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
