We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join us in the post of Information Governance Assistant. If you are looking for a challenge and would like to develop a career in delivering Information Governance services in a local authority context then this could be the ideal position for you.
The Information Governance team sits in the core of the council and is responsible for promoting good data management across the whole organisation and administering the information access regimes. You will be trained in the principles of effective and transparent data management whilst learning in a friendly and supportive team environment. This role offers an excellent insight into the range of services provided by local government and is particularly relevant for anyone wishing to embark on a local authority career in any field.
As the Information Governance Assistant, you will contribute to the effective delivery of the Council’s Information Governance services and comply with all aspects of information request processing under Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations, Data Protection Subject Access Requests and Land Charges regimes. To thrive in this role, you will need to have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn new practices. You will need the ability to work effectively as part of a team and able to work under close supervision.
