About the role
We are recruiting a Project Assistant to work in our supported accommodation project for homeless people and rough sleepers. The post holder will support members of the homeless community to articulate and achieve their aspirations and ambitions and to acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives. You must have knowledge and experience of the homeless community and the challenges they face.
As a service, we provide a safe and caring environment for the homeless community and we seek to encourage and empower this community to move forward positively, and to learn and achieve the independent skills they need to live positive and fulfilling lives.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all residents and visitors to the project receive a friendly and professional welcome. You will support the effective running of the project, dealing with face to face and telephone enquiries, processing rent payments and supporting the wider staff team to help residents manage their behaviour and maintain their tenancies. You will also be responsible for the safety and security of the building and the residents.
