About the role
This is a ground-breaking opportunity for someone to work across all Lewes schools to support all the children in Lewes to be in school and ready to achieve their full potential.
The Family Support Worker will work with schools to identify vulnerable children. You will then build relationships with the families and offer support and guidance in and out of schools within the Lewes Schools Alliance that will improve the child’s behaviour, motivation, self-esteem and educational attainment. You will be working across the Lewes schools, with parents/carers as well as children and support services to enable the most vulnerable to achieve at this crucial time.
We are looking for someone who will be able to:
- engage and undertake direct work with children and young people.
- work in partnership with parents, carers, educational staff and other agencies.
- assess need, arrange and implement appropriate support and monitor progress.
- communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences
This is a term-time only role, initially on a fixed 12-month term, due to start in September 2021. East Sussex Single Status Grade 7 £22,299 Pro-rata
