Early Help Short Term Keyworkers Required – Lewes, Havens and High Weald (work base County Hall, Lewes)
“East Sussex leaders set exceptionally high standards for services that support children who need help, protection or care.” Ofsted
An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly-motivated, dynamic Early Help Keyworkers to bring their family support skills to East Sussex’s Early Help Service for families (0-19). East Sussex is now seeking talented individuals to take positions in the Short Term Keywork Team covering the Havens, Lewes and High Weald.
Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, we are ambitious on behalf of the young people and families we work with and believe every role we recruit is a part of this success.
You will be responsible for all aspects of Keyworking, including identifying the needs of the whole family developing holistic Short Term Early Help Plans that identify clear, measurable targets for families you are working with alongside packages of support and direct family work.
You will need to have QCF Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English, or demonstrate competency in these areas through tests and a QCF Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject as well as being able to show that you have an interest and understanding of current issues when working with vulnerable families.
Crucially, you’ll need to be prepared to work effectively with families in a number of potential areas including education, mental health, domestic violence, Youth Offending, income inequality and Parenting.
In return, we offer competitive pay, relevant training, great opportunities for professional development and the chance to be part of an outstanding organisation that is committed to bringing about change in the lives of vulnerable children and families. You will also receive regular supervision support to build on your skills.
The expectation is that new staff will commence on a Single Status Grade 7, unless they have QCF Level 4 qualification or higher and can demonstrate experience in this field of work when they can commence on Single Status 8.
Our Early Help practice is high impact. We know we are making a difference because that’s what children and young people tell us.
So, if you’d like to be part of our progressive team, apply NOW.
