Barking and Dagenham is a New Kind of Council. Over the past four years we have gone through an ambitious transformation programme to ensure we can deliver real change within our community. To continue with this work, we are looking for a motivated and committed individual to join our corporate Performance and Programme Management Office as a Transformation Programmes Support Officer. This role will support our wider Transformation Programmes and in particular the replacement of our Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning System and as well as other improvement programmes and change initiatives across the council. You will be providing project management support to various programmes and projects and co-ordinating cost tracking across Transformation Programmes. You will also provide administration and business support to help the assurance and reporting on our corporate performance management framework (referred to as the Single Performance Framework).
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of providing support to project boards and project teams including sponsors and also of supporting programmes and projects. They will have experience of supporting various financial processes including invoicing, requisitions, purchase orders, reconciliations. They will have the ability to build good working relationships across the business and be able to support the production of regular board level reports.
