Getin2 Sport Activator
Part time - 16 hours/week

Our Getin2 Team delivers sport and play activities to children and young people during term time and school holidays and we are looking to recruit suitable individuals to join our team of Sport Activators who help develop and deliver on the following projects:
- Sports coaching in schools
- Family Hub, in partnership with Action for Children
- School Holiday Activity Clubs
- Park and outdoor adventure sessions
- Sporting events (Burnley community sports awards, races and other similar events)
- Family activities
As a Sport Activator you will need to be enthusiastic and be able to communicate and engage with children and young people. You must also be able to plan and deliver fun, innovative and engaging activities to children in the community, parks, schools and Sports Centre settings.
Sport Activators will be expected to communicate with parents/teachers and other partners to ensure that we are delivering our activities to the highest standard.
We are particularly keen to receive applications from individuals who have the vision, drive and desire to develop and deliver innovative sports projects to our communities.
We expect high standards and in return we offer excellent rates of pay, along with training and support and the opportunity to gain further qualifications.
You must have experience of working in schools and community settings, and you must also have experience of setting up and delivering successful sports programmes. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to create and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of partners. You must also have a level 2 qualification in sports coaching, play or childcare.
This post requires flexible working hours as our projects take place during school term times, school holidays, evenings and occasional weekends.
Appointment to this post is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
