About the role
Frant CEP School is a small village school, just to the south of Tunbridge Wells, with a community feel and an enthusiastic team of staff.
We are looking for a teacher for our year 3/4 class to job share with our existing Year 3/4 teacher. The position is for a Thursday and Friday (from September 2021).
We are looking for someone ideally with KS2 experience who is well organised, has strong classroom management skills and always has high expectations for every child in the class. They will be working in a team of 4 other class teachers who support each other in all aspects of school life.
Included in the salary is an allowance for PPA which would need to be done outside of school hours.
We are part of the Weald Federation which was formed in September 2019 with the amalgamation of Saxonbury (Frant and Mark Cross) and Aspire (Mayfield and Five Ashes) Federations. The schools are working together to enhance both the academic and pastoral opportunities for the pupils. The larger federation also offers staff a wide variety of CPD and career progression opportunities.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
