An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the East Sussex Youth Offending Team as a Youth Justice Worker. We are looking to recruit an experienced practitioner who is passionate about building effective and engaging relationships with with 10-17 year olds who have become involved with the criminal justice system, through statutory court orders or via the administration of out of court disposals.
You will have a track record of working with children and young people in youth justice or a related field. You will hold responsibility for those assessed as low/medium risk and will be able to work restoratively, delivering high quality interventions with creativity and innovation. As part of the broader service development for adolescents in East Sussex, the YOT plays an active in the development and delivery of contextual responses and a willingness to work innovatively and flexibly to meet the needs of this cohort is essential for the role.
The post holder will be based in Eastbourne (Hampden Park,) and will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering youth justice services across the West of the County.
