About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Resource Officer based at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
The Hospital Discharge Team is responsible for ensuring safe and timely discharge from EDGH and we are looking for someone to join our management team. You will supervise Resource Officers and provide support to the whole team to ensure we provide the best possible service. You will undertake Safeguarding enquiries so experience and training in this area are essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in leading, facilitating and supporting discharge with people in times of crisis, ensuring that the correct pathway is identified and that all aspects of safe discharge are fulfilled. You will work closely and in partnership with other disciplines from across the NHS Trust and East Sussex County Council, ensuring a robust and holistic outcome.
We are looking for someone with excellent leadership skills, communication skills ( verbal and written) and with an interest in diverse working. If you would enjoy the opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding hospital environment, we would welcome an application from you.
You will need to be confident and competent in assessing risk, identifying appropriate need and have experience of providing social care/ multidisciplinary interventions. A proven ability to lead a team to provide excellent customer service is essential.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
