About the role
High Hurstwood CEP School is located in a beautiful part of the Weald countryside. We are a popular school with an excellent local reputation. We were judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted (February 2017) and Outstanding in our SIAMS Inspection (September 2017). We have benefited from being a Strategic Partner of St Marks Teaching School and have a track record of working closely with other schools in the Wealden Education Improvement Partnership. We have the highest expectations of staff and offer a range of CPD opportunities in order to further develop teaching and leadership skills.
We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner to teach initially in one of our mixed-age Key Stage 2 classrooms. Please note that as we are a Church of England Controlled school the successful candidate will be expected to be fully supportive of the Christian ethos of our school.
The successful candidate will:

• Ideally have experience of teaching Key Stage 2 children.
Candidates will be expected to have a good understanding of how ICT can be used to enhance teaching and learning.
Ideally we would like the successful candidate to take on a Subject Leadership role. Appropriate training will be provided to those wthout Subject leader experience. Subject areas of particular interest are Computing, PE or Modern Foreign Languages. However, a decsison will be based according to the skills and expertise of the successful candidate alongside the needs of the school. So please do include in your application subject areas in which you have a particular interest or expertise.

Please note that this post is for candidates who are on Main Pay Scale only. The post would suit a recently qualified teacher, who is looking to further develop their skills as a Subject Leader. However, applications will also be accepted from newly qualified teachers.
