We are currently recruiting two Travel Plan Coordinators to develop and implement the council's strategic approach to sustainable transport and active travel in line with the Sustainability Plan objectives.  This is specifically in the context of delivering walking, cycling and public transport targets for some of our largest new developments in Houghton Regis and Leighton Buzzard. 

 

With responsibility for developing and delivering Travel Plan actions, the successful candidates will be passionate about facilitating the necessary modal shift to more sustainable transport modes, public transport and active travel walking and cycling.  The successful candidates will have practical experience of working with developers and housebuilders, alongside other council colleagues and contractors.  Experience of stakeholder engagement, scheme design and the implementation of revenue and capital projects is also required, alongside a good understanding of both highways and planning legislation and processes.
