FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 12 MONTHS
Birmingham Children’s Trust is going from strength to strength. We are the largest provider of family support and social care services for children, young people and families in the country. Our goal is to become a centre of excellence in both social care and family support.
We have learned a great deal during the pandemic and we are reviewing the future of social work delivery in this context. As part of this we have placed a great emphasis on the progression of remote working and use of technology to enable us to continue working from our home locations in various geographical areas whilst still carrying out an effective service.
We have an exciting opportunity within our Business Support Service for a passionate and self-motivated Team Leader providing essential support to the Trusts Executive, Assistant Directors and Heads of Service. The Service is currently in a period of redesign given a changing environment, ways of working and to better support the achievement of better outcomes for children and families. As Team Leader, initially for the PA Support team, you will have a pivotal role in supporting the smooth and efficient delivery of all aspects of the service during this period of redesign and beyond into the new model.
You will play a critical role in the effective day to day running of the service in relation to all resource and administrative functions, we are looking for someone who has experience of change and stakeholder management; who possesses outstanding leadership and management skills, who is well organised, creative and innovative in their thinking and approaches; who can set, work to and meet tight deadlines; who is articulate and proactive. A full leadership training package will be offered along with regular development discussions.
You must be able to work effectively within a team environment, be customer and child focused and be able to deliver the role with a flexible approach.
The role will be offered initially as a 12 month fixed term position and you may be required to support different support services during this period.
