More about the role:

 

The purpose of our Children’s Services social worker workforce is to undertake all statutory interventions in a specific service area, that enable children & young people to live in a family & community environment that maximises their life chances.

 

This includes identifying and assessing risk of harm and assessing the needs of the children and young people and their families using standard assessment tools, within prescribed timescales.

 

The role requires you to develop plans that are timely and evidence-based to ensure positive outcomes. The social worker participates in legal proceedings and other decision-making forums where required.
