About the role
Children’s social work for change
Are you a front line Manager who is ready to join a high-performing and innovative Children’s Services Department?
We’re looking for a creative and professionally curious Practice Manager to join our Outstanding (ADD team) based in (ADD location).
Thanks to our talented workforce and experienced highly skilled managers, we have created a strong workforce that really makes a difference for our most vulnerable children and families. This has = been acknowledged with Ofsted rating our Children’s Services as outstanding, recognising that we put children at the heart of everything we do.
Motivated to improve outcomes for children
We are looking for highly-motivated social work professionals who understand how to improve outcomes for children and have a proven track record in statutory children’s services. You will be a Senior Social Worker ready to take your first step into management or an experienced manager with strong management and leadership skills.
Your practice must be evidence-based and you must be up-to-date on current theories and research. You will receive individualised support through a range of training and development opportunities to enable you to succeed in this role and to develop your career.
Relationships are the key to best practice
At ESCC our Connected Practice model creates change through meaningful and helpful relationships with children and families – an approach which focusses on enabling young people to lead safe, stable and fulfilling lives at home with their families.
Our practitioners draw on their own resources to develop effective relationships with vulnerable families and children. By working intensively, and using structured interventions, our Senior Social Workers help families to solve problems themselves ensuring that children are safer and better nurtured.
Progress your learning and training
At East Sussex we know that our staff are individuals with their own career goals. So we have created a clear career development pathway, known as Progress, which maps out all the different options and opportunities for enriching and developing individual careers. It enables staff to build on existing skills and develop new knowledge and it provides clarity around the requirements for pay and progression, social work registration and further accreditation.
