About the role
East Sussex Youth Offending Team is looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic, and flexible Practice Manager. This is an exciting and challenging role and the post holder will work closely with the existing management team to deliver an ambitious and creative service which meets the complex needs of adolescents entering the criminal justice system.
Developing the service in line with national standards and improving performance to ensure that we are able to meet the challenges of the changing landscape within youth justice are fundamental to this role. The post holder will also be required to work closely with managers from across Children’s Services and partner agencies to develop and deliver services for exploited adolescents, including contextual safeguarding approaches and trauma informed practice.
The post holder will be based in our St Leonards office and will be responsible for the management and supervision of a number of practitioner staff, from a range of professional backgrounds, to support and shape the delivery of youth justice services across East Sussex
The post holder will have responsibility for the quality of casework, performance management and staff development in the team. They will be expected to contribute to individual practice, overall performance analysis and policy implementation to secure positive outcomes for those known to the YOT.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
