Rowan Park Teaching School is an outstanding Special School, which supports the learning and development of children and young people aged 3-19 years. The school has three sites; Rowan Park School for pupils aged 3-19 years with severe and complex learning difficulties, Rowan High School for pupils aged 11-19 years with a diagnosis of Autism and The Rowan Tree for Reception and Year 1 pupils’ who have a diagnosis of autism and learning difficulties. All appointees may be placed at any one of the three school sites and may be subject to change annually. This will be dependent on the needs of the Schools and their pupils.
The Governors are looking to appoint a full time/term time Higher Level Teaching Assistant for Rowan High School to be the Independent, Functional skills and Enterprise Lead.
This role will include leading food technology and life skills, such as travel training/job coaching and enterprise/business activities for Rowan High pupils. This includes leading functional skills intervention groups and Health & Fitness. Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for the requirements of the post.
