This is your  opportunity, as a recent graduate, to join us as part of a 2-year development programme. We want you to become a future senior manager and we will do all we can to help you get there

From managing projects to drafting policy and strategy, you'll take on early responsibility and make a real contribution towards improving the quality, accessibility and efficiency of public services in Elmbridge.

On the scheme, you will undertake a number of placements in key areas of the council:

  • Services for older and vulnerable people in our community
  • Housing
  • Organisational Development
  • Leisure and Cultural Services
  • Democratic Services
  • Environmental Services which includes our strategy to become carbon neutral

Your specific role during these placements will vary and may involve you working on very high profile projects. We are aiming for you to have a balanced understanding of the way the council works while gaining an overview of the organisation. We’ll also offer you plenty of support and development, as well as project management and management qualifications throughout your placement.
