About the role

The ESCC Schools Finance Team, provides financial advice, guidance, support and training to schools and academies in and around East Sussex. Our busy, dynamic and friendly team are looking for a supportive, enthusiastic and constructive team member to join us in delivering and developing our valued service into the future.

This interesting and varied role will give you the opportunity to provide vital support and guidance to Bursars, Business Managers and other school staff.

Your role will involve providing professional and well informed advice to support schools’ day to day financial processes and management, delivering financed based training, budgeting advice, scrutiny and planning support. You will contribute to initiatives and service developments, supporting schools to successfully manage their resources, collaborating with and supporting team members to deliver a high quality service.

The team is based in Lewes. Although we are currently working remotely, your role may, in time, involve travel to schools and academies in East Sussex and surrounding areas.

If you are a committed and proactive team player, have experience and knowledge of financial management (ideally in schools), have excellent communication skills and a real commitment to customer service, we would love to hear from you.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
