About the role
The Looked After Children's service is seeking to appoint a Business Support Officer to undertake a full review of the current systems and processes and lead on the development and implementation of electronic systems at our secure children's home.
We are looking for a highly motivated person with a focus on delivering projects in a timely manner within budget and who is adaptable to deliver any changes required within the service. As the project lead you will be responsible for the day to day management of the project as well as delivering some of the project and change management activities such as requirement gathering, option appraisal and developing the business plan.
The post will work with existing staff to ensure dependencies are not in conflict and to enable knowledge transfer. Experience of projects will be an advantage as will knowledge of working in a Children's Social Care environment. Your most important attributes will be your ability to work with key stakeholders to take them through the change journey; to develop systems that are fit for purpose and deliver the benefits identified; and can work within existing infrastructures.
Although the team is office based there may be a need to travel between various council locations on occasion.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
