Salary Range: £40,876 progressing to £43,857 per annum

Hertfordshire County Council Comms Team are looking for a Campaigns Manager to lead on our busy and exciting Environment and Infrastructure brief. In particular, you would work with our partners at Hertfordshire Highways to develop campaigns that both enhance the reputation of our busy road networks whilst developing bespoke campaigns that encourage residents to cycle and walk more, highlight road improvements or encourage greater road safety. The role also leads on communications for our recycling and waste initiatives, as we seek to encourage residents to recycle more and drive down our landfill to zero by 2030.
You would be the single point of contact for the area, managing a team member working on Hertfordshire growth agenda communications. This ranges from building homes and infrastructure capable of supporting our growing population to supporting businesses grow and thrive.
We are looking for someone who can manage resources in the face of a demanding and complex workload, and negotiate and set prioritised communications plans to meet departmental objectives, based on insight. To do this, you would need strong operational knowledge of Press, Media, Digital and Marketing disciplines, with an ability to flex them to meet campaign demands and grounded in evaluation. We would also expect you to take part in the wider life of our vibrant and creative corporate communications team.
The minimum criteria for this role is a degree and/or professional qualification, at least 3 years’ experience delivering communications campaigns for organisations and managing teams. It is desirable to have experience of working on public sector campaigns.s
