An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Housing Standards Team for a Compliance Officer. The post will be fixed term until 28/2/2023. The successful applicant will carry out the effective implementation and enforcement of the Selective and Additional (Houses in Multiple Occupation) Licensing Schemes for private rented properties in areas of Sefton. The role includes the inspection of properties requiring a licence, verifying licence applications, identifying unlicensed properties and communicating with landlords, lettings agents and tenants. You will be expected to take legal enforcement action under Housing legislation in relation to housing licensing.
We are keen to appoint enthusiastic and dynamic individual with previous experience in inspecting and surveying premises.
The successful candidate must be flexible, motivated and have excellent communication skills. They must be able to work as part of a team.
