About the role
Are you an experienced child-centred practitioner with knowledge of attendance and the willingness to support children and young people back into accessing education?
Due to the expansion of the Education Support, Behaviour and Attendance Service (ESBAS), we are seeking to recruit an Attendance Support Assistant (ASA) who will be based in St Mark’s House in Eastbourne.
ESBAS are looking for an ASA to work with families, children and young people with protracted poor attendance due to a variety of complex needs.
The role will involve working in partnership with ESBAS Practitioners, school staff, parents and carers and other agencies to provide a high quality, short term, intensive intervention and support for children and young people identified as having poor school attendance. You will be committed to improving the outcomes for children and young people as well as being flexible and forward thinking in your approach to work. You will be adept at building and maintaining positive relationships. A driving licence and access to a car is essential.
