About the role

HOURS OF WORK: Average of 5 hours per week
36.4 weeks of Term Time, plus one week of inset, with an additional 4 weeks over and above term time to be worked and 6.003 paid holiday/Bank Holidays. Total of 47.403 paid weeks per year.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to fill the post of Clerk to the Governing Board. The Clerk to the Governors is responsible for effectively supporting the functions of the Governing Board. The Clerk is accountable to the Governing Board and will work closely with the Chair of Governors, Committee Chairs and the Head Teacher. The Clerk is responsible for advising and supporting the Governing Board in accordance with the provisions of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of Gildredge House Free School Trust, relevant Education Acts and guidance.

The ideal candidates will be flexible in their approach and have the ability to think quickly on their feet.

Starting salary: Scale 6 Point 14 on the Gildredge House Support Staff Scale 2020-2021: £2517.09 pro rata (£19382.00) Full time equivalent to a maximum of £20155.00 Scale 6 Point 16).
