Senior Customer Service Officer
37 hours per week - Salary £23,261 pa
We are seeking to recruit a full-time Senior Customer Service Officer, with a strong customer service background to deliver a positive customer experience for those that engage with the Council.
This pivotal role will form part of the Customer Service leadership team, supporting both the wider customer services team, and residents through the Council’s busy contact centre and reception.
This role will include involvement in resource planning for the department, taking an active role in administering the Council’s formal complaints process and providing support to management and staff on a day-to-day basis.
The successful applicant will have in interest in developing knowledge of all Council services and will aim to provide outstanding customer experience to residents whilst driving the importance of this throughout the organisation. The applicant will actively promote Broxbourne Council’s digital services and assist customers to self-serve wherever possible.
Candidates must have GCSE qualifications in Maths and English at grade 4 (C) or above (or the equivalent), have excellent communication skills, be computer literate and be comfortable with responding to complaints. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in the role.
The successful candidate will typically work office hours Monday-Friday. Council staff are currently working remotely and a mixed office-based / remote working pattern will be in place once it is safe to do so.
