The starting salary for this position is £35,382 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

We have a long tradition in Surrey of providing apprenticeships, work experience and other opportunities for young people and we want to enhance this offer further. Your focus will be to develop our early careers community and implement effective talent development interventions that maximise the potential of our workforce. You will do this through analysing and diagnosing issues to identify and design bespoke interventions that will lever change and get to the heart of the matter. Specifically, this will include:

  • Supporting the management and delivery of early career programmes that enable our talent to realise their potential, including the Kickstart Scheme and National Graduate Development Programme
  • Designing and facilitating engaging workshops, events and development programmes that grow the capabilities and strengths of our early talent
  • Collaborating with internal services and partner organisations to analyse approaches that support youth employment and identify ways to enhance our offering.
  • Contributing to the exploration and design of wider Talent Management approach.

About you

To be shortlisted for this role, please evidence in your application how you meet the requirements below:

  • Educated to degree level in a related subject, or equivalent experience, you will have good working knowledge of talent management and youth employment.
  • A confident and creative approach to problem solving with a passion for learning and career development
  • Previous experience of delivering engaging workshops, events and development interventions that create a real impact
  • A consultative, collaborative, and credible approach to your work
  • Experience of being involved in early careers initiatives in a large organisation
  • Experience of working with Job Centre Plus, Department for Work and Pensions, training providers and other educational settings
  • Informed decision making underpinned by data and insight

Please note this role is offered as a 12-month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity to join our Leadership and Talent Development Team and support with our current portfolio of projects. 

This role is based at Woodhatch Place in Reigate, however we are committed to agile working, therefore you will be encouraged to work flexibly to enable you to achieve your best.
